Overview

The sleepy life in a resort seaside town during the off‑season. Trumpeter Sasha is a musician by nature, going through a "midlife crisis". He lives alone, unburdened by either a family or bad habits; in the evenings he plays in the local orchestra, and sometimes, in his endless quest for freedom and new experiences, he disappears to who knows where for a week or two. Vera is a pretty woman who isn't yet old; she lives in the hope of meeting her "one and only". Two lonely people, longing for unattainable happiness, met and started living together. And so everything was fine, but one day, after stepping out for five minutes to buy bread, Sasha disappeared. For many years, Vera will search for her beloved. No changes — neither marriage, nor moving to Moscow, nor a successful career — will make her forget about the strange man who stirred her soul. In the lovers' lives, there will be wonderful meetings, heartfelt conversations, fateful trials, and mysterious partings. Their fate is passion on the brink of death.
